An ISA is not CFD trading.

ISA investments can fall as well as rise, and you may get back less than you put in. CFDs are leveraged and cannot be held in an ISA. Tax treatment depends on your circumstances and may change. This page is not tax advice.

What is an ISA?

A tax wrapper for your savings.

An Individual Savings Account lets UK residents save or invest up to a yearly limit. Interest, dividends and gains inside the wrapper are not taxed. You still need to meet the eligibility rules.

  • Choose from cash, shares and funds, or a managed portfolio
  • You can usually take your money out when you need it
  • Moving an ISA does not use up this year’s allowance
  • Rules and limits are set by the government and can change
Three ways to hold it

Pick the ISA that fits you.

Cash ISA

Keep cash and earn interest. A calm choice for money you may need soon.

Stocks & Shares ISA

Choose your own shares, ETFs and funds. You hold the real asset, not a CFD.

Managed ISA

An expert team builds and rebalances a portfolio that matches your risk profile.
